The North American premiere of the film by Italian veteran Roberto Faenza, Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You, presented at the 29th Miami International Film Festival, was such a success with the audience that a repeat screening had to be held at the end of the Festival.

Screened on Thursday, March 8, at a gala event of this year’s Miami International Film Festival, an important North American festival with a focus on independent cinema, Roberto Faenza’s film Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You, was such a success with the audience, which rated it best film, that it had to be encored at the end of the Festival.

The Miami Herald has defined the film “a funny, gentle snapshot of the point in life when you’re on the cusp of adulthood …. aided immeasurably by the large cast, all of them working at the top of their game”. For TrustMovies, the New York-based movie criticism blog, the film is “funny, charming, bizarr yet realistic”. For the Miami New Times, Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You “is one of the 3 best films of the Festival” out of the 100 movies entered from 35 different countries.

The film is scheduled to open in the United States at the end of summer.
